Refund Policy
How cancellations, refunds, credits and chargebacks work for subscriptions and credit top-ups.
Last updated: 2026-10-14
Effective date: October 13, 2026
This policy covers subscriptions and credit top-ups sold on this site by COD Co., Ltd. (株式会社COD). It is part of our Terms of Service. A Japanese summary of the main terms is in our Legal Notice (特定商取引法に基づく表記).
Cancelling a subscription
- You can cancel at any time from Settings › Billing → Cancel subscription after signing in, or by asking our support team to cancel it for you.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Until then your plan stays active and you can keep using the credits already granted; after that, nothing renews and you are not charged again.
- There is no cancellation fee, and no pro-rated refund for the unused part of a billing period.
- Buying a different plan ends your current plan immediately, with no refund for its remaining period. Credits already granted stay usable until they expire.
- If a renewal payment fails and is still unpaid after the retry attempts, the subscription ends.
What we refund
- Problems on our side. If a paid feature is unavailable because of us, or we fail to provide the service as described, contact us and we will fix it or refund the affected amount.
- Duplicate or mistaken charges are refunded in full.
- Suspected fraud. If your card issuer tells us a payment may be fraudulent, we refund that payment in full.
What we don't refund
We don't refund subscription fees or credit top-ups because you changed your mind or did not use your credits. In particular, we don't refund:
- credits spent on clips that were delivered to you;
- unused credits, including when we terminate your account because you violated the Terms of Service;
- expired credits;
- the remaining period of a plan after you cancel it or switch to another plan (a yearly plan you switch away from keeps granting its monthly credits until the end of the year you paid for);
- free credits, such as the signup bonus, which have no cash value.
This does not limit your rights when we fail to provide the service as described (see above).
Credits for failed and stopped renders
These rules return credits to your balance; they are not money refunds.
- Failed render: its credits are returned automatically.
- Stopped render: its credits are returned only if the render had not yet been sent to the model provider, was still queued and the provider accepted the cancellation, or had already failed at the provider. If it was already rendering, or its status could not be confirmed, the credits are spent.
- Clip already finished when you stop: it is delivered to you and charged.
- Connection lost during a render: handled like a stop — if the clip was already rendering, the credits are not returned.
If a render stops or the connection drops because of a problem on our side, its credits are returned — contact us if they were not.
How refunds affect credits and subscriptions
- Partial refund: we remove credits from that purchase in proportion to the amount refunded — credits granted × total refunded ÷ total paid (including tax), rounded up, minus any credits already removed for earlier refunds of the same payment — but never more than the credits from that purchase you still have. A partial refund does not end your subscription. Once refunds of a payment add up to the full amount paid, it is treated as a full refund.
- Full refund: the unused credits from that purchase are removed. If the payment was for a subscription, the subscription ends immediately and does not renew.
- Credits you have already used are never taken back, and your balance never goes below zero.
Chargebacks and disputes
If you dispute a payment with your card issuer, or your issuer reports it as possibly fraudulent, the unused credits from that payment are removed. If the payment was for a subscription, the subscription ends immediately. Credits removed this way are not restored automatically. If the dispute is closed in our favour and the payment was not returned to you, contact us and we will restore the removed credits. Restored credits are valid again from the day we restore them, for the validity period of the original purchase. Please contact us before opening a dispute — we can usually sort out billing problems faster.
How to request a refund
Open a support ticket after signing in, or email us at services@bizcod.co.jp. Include your account email address and the date and amount of the charge. We review every request and reply as soon as we can.
When refunds arrive
Refunds go back only to the payment method used for the original payment. They usually appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Because we charge in US dollars, the amount you see in your local currency may differ from the original charge because of exchange rates.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under Japan's Consumer Contract Act or other consumer protection laws that apply to you and cannot be waived by contract, including the laws of the country where you live.
